Ok, here are the pictures I was telling you about from Abby's second photo shoot.  We were able to go to her school and do pictures in the halls & at the pool.  Definitely made for challenging lighting, considering I wanted to use natural light.  It was so cool shooting in a different situation though, that it was completely worth it.

We did a couple of shots with her brother, Orry.  He was definitely very helpful that day, carrying everything around :)

On to the pool..... Can you guess what their mascot is?  Ummm, ok, so that's not really a hard question...

Ok, so Abby was totally a trooper for this picture because it was SO hot & humid in the pool area.  Yep, and here she is in a fur-lined parka.

I LOVE this one & I think it'd make a great canvas print.  The funny thing is, I didn't even know for sure if these would turn out because it was pretty dark in the locker room.  So glad that I went ahead & tried!

This one would be super cool as a canvas too.  Can you tell I'm a little canvas obsessive lately?  :)

I've got to thank Abby for choosing to work with me and for being such an AMAZING model!  Hope you love all of your pictures & that you got exactly what you wanted out of the sessions.  I know I did.  You're the best!

a day at the fair

So, Jack had his first real experience with the county fair last night.  We went last year & looked at the animals, but that was about it.  This year we did it all (well, kind of...)  I went a little picture crazy, but he was having so much fun, the light was perfect & the colors were great!  

One of the weird things about moving back home is running into people you know.  As we were parking last night, one of our friends & his family were getting out of the car right next to us.  They were actually meeting his brother & his family there, who are some of our very best friends.  (Still with me?)  They were all headed to the tractor pull, which I'd never been to before, but was pretty sure that Jack would think was cool.  Well, it turns out that it was a kiddie tractor pull, so that was even better (in my opinion).  Here's a fun action shot of their daughter.  She did awesome!

Here's the little brother of the girl in the tractor pull.  He's actually in the newborn section on my website.  Time goes by so fast...

So, we headed to the animals, thinking that Jack would think they were awesome.  Unfortunately, they freaked him out a little.  Here's his reaction to the chickens.  Pretty funny, huh?

Luckily, he thought the horse was ok.  I love this picture.

Yeah, this is random, but I had to put it up here.  This monkey was insane!  You'd give him a quarter & he'd actually put it in his pocket.  We even saw him fix his hat when it started to get a little crooked.  Weird stuff....

And now, for the big moment!  Jack's first carnival ride!

Luckily, he LOVED it!

Unfortunately, he didn't dig the carousel as much.  We ended up sitting on the bench right behind us for 99% of the ride.  Thanks to Dustin for this gorgeous picture!

That's right, back to the train :)

playing around

So, Abby & I did the second part of her senior session last week.  I'm still working on her pictures, but I thought I'd show you guys this one that I was playing around with.  Today's the first day that I've been able to have caffeine since Thursday, so I think that helped with my "inspiration".
