snow day!

Imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning & looked out the window to see everything covered in snow.  Of course if you think I was excited, you should've seen Jack!  Last year he loved it when his grandpa would bring him in a bowl of snow to eat (yes, clean snow).  Well, believe it or not, he totally remembered that & asked for a bowl of snow.  Since we had spent the night at Grandma & Grandpa's house, his wish was quickly granted :)  Later, his grandpa brought in another bowl of snow, but this time they made a miniature snowman together.  It was so cute.  Jack loved how it danced around when he spun the plate.

Once we got home, we hurried inside, found his snow overalls & got him all bundled up to go out & play.  I declined the invitation, but eventually gave in because there was no way that I was going to miss this photo opportunity.  Even though there was snow everywhere, it actually wasn't that cold out (relatively speaking).  I got so many fun shots of him on the sled, but here are just a few.  By the way, somehow in Dustin's extensive workshop there was no rope to be found, hence the chain that's being used to pull the sled.  Hey, it works.

Here's a photo shoot from back in October that I've been waiting to blog.  This is the family that I've photographed more times than any other.  If you want a reminder, here's their blog post from last year.  It's so funny to look back at last year's pictures and see how much everyone's grown!  Not to mention, there's a new baby in the picture now (pun only slightly intended).  Luckily, she's just as cute as the other three.  Not that there was any doubt that she would be!  So, without further ado, I give you the Thompson family...

i love to accessorize

I have a couple of big blog posts in the works, but until they're ready, I thought I'd show you little something that I got in the mail the other day.  I love the camera straps at My Funky Camera!  I already have the colorful black skull & crossbone one (here's the link to the white version) & love it.  Of course being the master accessorizer that I am (spell check is not happy with that word!), I always want to have a bit of variety.  I checked in the other day and saw this super cute leopard one.  I was torn between it and a zebra style, but the leopard won out.  Just try to tell me it's not cool...

ps--if you want a strap & the style you like is sold out, have patience.  She restocks quickly!

Even though he's been every inch a typical 2 year old boy & everything that entails, Jack's still the cutest kid ever.  Want proof?  Check it...

emily & adam - teaser

I've been dying to show this image to Emily & Adam, but they've been on their honeymoon.  I didn't want to post it until I knew they were back & I've just been given the ok!  There are so many cool images from this wedding.  Emily & Adam were more than prepared to pose extensively for me, which was sooo much fun.  I can't wait to show you more, but here's this one for now.  Don't worry Adam, I have many of you that I want to show too, this one just jumped out to me first!
