My great idea this year was to send out a New Year's card from pure photography. Wondering why you didn't get one? Welllll, I got them half made & then slacked off & never finished the other side. I was feeling productive today, so I finished the second side. Since it'd be a little late (no comments, please) to send it out now, I thought I'd at least share it with you all here. So, to all of my wonderful clients of 2008, thank you & have a wonderful 2009!

abby at school :)
Ok, here are the pictures I was telling you about from Abby's second photo shoot. We were able to go to her school and do pictures in the halls & at the pool. Definitely made for challenging lighting, considering I wanted to use natural light. It was so cool shooting in a different situation though, that it was completely worth it.

We did a couple of shots with her brother, Orry. He was definitely very helpful that day, carrying everything around :)
On to the pool..... Can you guess what their mascot is? Ummm, ok, so that's not really a hard question...
Ok, so Abby was totally a trooper for this picture because it was SO hot & humid in the pool area. Yep, and here she is in a fur-lined parka.
I LOVE this one & I think it'd make a great canvas print. The funny thing is, I didn't even know for sure if these would turn out because it was pretty dark in the locker room. So glad that I went ahead & tried!
This one would be super cool as a canvas too. Can you tell I'm a little canvas obsessive lately? :)
I've got to thank Abby for choosing to work with me and for being such an AMAZING model! Hope you love all of your pictures & that you got exactly what you wanted out of the sessions. I know I did. You're the best!

playing around
So, Abby & I did the second part of her senior session last week. I'm still working on her pictures, but I thought I'd show you guys this one that I was playing around with. Today's the first day that I've been able to have caffeine since Thursday, so I think that helped with my "inspiration".

Finally, my first senior session! Abby is my first senior rep of the year & it seriously couldn't have started any better. She had so many cool ideas for pictures that it made my job really easy. This is only part one of her portraits. We're meeting up again to do pictures at her school pool & also on her grandpa's property, which sounds gorgeous. I think we've already got a lot of great, unique shots, so I can't wait to see what we get at our other two locations. Stay tuned for the rest....

2009 senior girls
It's that time of year...getting ready for senior pictures. I'm currently looking for 2 representatives from each of the area schools.
